Kiran Kumar, born Deepak Dhar on October 20, 1953, in Mumbai, India, is a prominent Indian actor known for his work in Hindi, Gujarati, and Bhojpuri cinema. He hails from a Kashmiri Hindu family with aristocratic roots; his great-grandfather was a nobleman governing the Gilgit Agency. Kiran is the son of veteran actor Jeevan Kumar and has two siblings. He is married to Sushma Verma, a former actress, and they have three children: Shaurya, Vikas, and Srishti. Kiran attended the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) in Pune and began his career in the film industry with a cameo in "Love in Simla" (1960) and later starred in "Do Boond Pani" (1971). His notable performances include roles in films like "Tezaab" and "Khuda Gawah," where he gained recognition as a villain. Kiran has also made significant contributions to television, starring in popular series such as "Zindagi," "Ghutan," and "Papa."
