Kanu Behl

Kanu Behl, born on June 13, 1980, in Kapurthala, Punjab, is a prominent Indian film director and screenwriter known for his contributions to Hindi cinema. He grew up in Patiala before relocating to Delhi in 1990. Behl comes from a family deeply rooted in the arts, with both parents, Navnindra and Lalit Behl, being writers and directors. He pursued his education at Apeejay School in Noida and later earned a bachelor's degree in Business from Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies at Delhi University. His passion for filmmaking led him to the Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute, where he completed a PG Diploma in Cinema. In January 2019, Kanu Behl married music composer Sneha Khanwalkar.

Behl's career began with assisting renowned director Dibakar Banerjee on the film "Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!" and co-writing "LSD: Love Sex Aur Dhokha." His directorial debut came with "Titli" in 2014, which was well-received at various international film festivals and nominated for the Caméra d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival. This film marked a significant milestone in his career, showcasing his unique storytelling style.
