Kabir Bedi was born on January 16, 1946, in Lahore, Punjab Province of British India (now in Pakistan). He is an acclaimed Indian actor known for his work across film, television, and theatre on three continents: India, the United States, and Europe, particularly Italy. Bedi's family has a rich history of involvement in India's independence movement; his mother, Freda Bedi, was a prominent Buddhist nun, and his father, Baba Bedi, was an author and philosopher. Kabir Bedi has been married three times; his current spouse is Parveen Dusanj, a film producer. He has two children from previous marriages: Pooja Bedi and Siddharth Bedi. Bedi is recognized for his roles in notable productions such as "Khoon Bhari Maang," "Taj Mahal: An Eternal Love Story," and as the villain Gobinda in the James Bond film "Octopussy." He has also received significant accolades, including being a voting member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences since 1982.
