Janhvi Kapoor, born on March 6, 1997, in Mumbai, India, is an Indian actress known for her work in Hindi films. She is the daughter of the late actress Sridevi and producer Boney Kapoor. Janhvi has a younger sister, Khushi Kapoor, and two half-siblings from her father's previous marriage: actor Arjun Kapoor and Anshula Kapoor. She completed her schooling at Dhirubhai Ambani International School and later pursued an acting course at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in California. Janhvi made her film debut in 2018 with the romantic drama Dhadak, which was a commercial success. Despite facing challenges with subsequent releases, she garnered critical acclaim for her performances in Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl (2020) and Mili (2022), earning nominations for prestigious awards. Janhvi is currently single and focused on her career, having expressed a desire to establish herself independently in the film industry.
