Irshad Khan, born around 1963, is an esteemed Indian classical musician known for his mastery of the surbahar and sitar. He hails from a distinguished musical lineage as the son of Imrat Khan and the nephew of Vilayat Khan. Irshad made his international debut at the age of 13 at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in London, showcasing his prodigious talent. He further cemented his status as a child prodigy by performing at the prestigious Indian All Night concert at the Proms when he was just 18. Currently based in Canada, he is actively involved in teaching and performing globally. Irshad Khan is also the founder and president of the Universal Academy for Musicians, which operates in both Mississauga and Mumbai. His notable album, "The Magic of Twilight," released in 2000, reflects his deep commitment to classical music and his innovative approach to traditional forms.
