He grew up in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, and later moved to Delhi at the age of 14 before settling in Mumbai. Rane is fluent in multiple languages, including English, Hindi, Telugu, and Marathi. He began his career in the entertainment industry with a role in the television series "Left Right Left" (2007-2008) before making his film debut in the Telugu movie "Thakita Thakita" (2010). He gained recognition for his performance in the Hindi film "Sanam Teri Kasam" (2016), which earned him a Stardust Award nomination for Best Debut Male.
