Gurdas Maan

Gurdas Maan was born on January 4, 1957, in Giddarbaha, Punjab, India. He is a renowned Indian singer, songwriter, and actor predominantly recognized for his contributions to Punjabi music and cinema. Maan grew up in a family that encouraged his artistic inclinations; his father was Gurdev Singh and his mother was Tej Kaur. He completed his education at DAV College in Malout and initially worked with the Punjab State Electricity Board before pursuing a career in music. His breakthrough came in 1980 with the song "Dil Da Mamla Hai," which catapulted him to fame. Over the years, he has released more than 34 albums and written over 305 songs. Gurdas Maan is married to Manjit Maan since April 10, 1980, and they have one son, Gurickk G Maan, who is also involved in the entertainment industry. Maan is often celebrated as one of the greatest Punjabi musicians and has received numerous accolades, including a National Film Award for Best Male Playback Singer.
