Fazlur Rahman Babu, also known as Babu, is a renowned Bangladeshi actor and singer. He has won the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor a record five times for his roles in Shonkhonaad (2004), Meyeti Ekhon Kothay Jabe (2017), Fagun Haway (2019), Bishwoshundori (2020), and Nonajoler Kabbo (2021). Babu began his acting career in 1978 with the theatre group Boishakhi Natya Gosthi in Faridpur. He made his television debut in the soap opera Mrittu Khuda (1991) and gained further recognition for his role in the drama Itikatha (1991). Babu has also acted in numerous films, including Daruchini Dip (2007) and Monpura (2009), and has emerged as a popular playback singer, releasing his first solo album Indubala in 2009.
