Divya Pillai, born on November 23, 1988, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, is an Indian actress known for her work in Malayalam cinema. She hails from a Malayali Nair family; her father, Narayan Pillai, owned a business in Dubai, and her mother, Chandrika Pillai, worked as a nurse before starting a clinic in Kerala. Divya completed her schooling at The Indian High School and New Indian Model School in Dubai, followed by a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Anna University in Chennai. Before entering the film industry, she worked with Flydubai.

Divya is married to Osama Al Banna, a British citizen whom she met while working at Emirates Airlines in Dubai. The couple developed a friendship that eventually led to marriage.
