Chunky Pandey was born on September 26, 1962, in Mumbai, India. He is married to Bhavna Pandey since 1998, and they have two daughters, Ananya and Rysa Pandey.

Chunky Pandey, whose real name is Suyash Sharad Pandey, is a prominent Indian actor known for his work in Bollywood films. He began his career in 1987 with "Daraar" and gained widespread recognition for his role in the 1988 blockbuster "Tezaab," where he played a supporting character that showcased his comedic talent. Over the years, he has appeared in more than 55 films, often excelling in secondary roles rather than leading ones. Despite facing challenges in the competitive film industry, he found success in Bengali cinema during the late 1990s, becoming a superstar there despite not speaking the language. After a hiatus, he made a successful return to Bollywood in the early 2000s, featuring in hits like "Apna Sapna Money Money" and "Housefull 2." In addition to acting, Chunky is an entrepreneur, co-owning a health food restaurant and a stage show company called Bollywood Electric.
