Bhumika Chawla was born on August 21, 1978. She is currently married to Bharat Thakur, a yoga teacher, whom she wed in 2007 at a Gurdwara in Devlali, Nashik. The couple has a son born in February 2014.
Bhumika Chawla, born Rachna Chawla, is an Indian actress known for her work in Telugu, Hindi, and Tamil films. She made her acting debut in the 2000 Telugu film Yuvakudu. Chawla rose to fame with her role as Nirjara Bhardwaj in the 2003 Hindi film Tere Naam alongside Salman Khan.
Some of her notable performances include Kushi (2001), Missamma (2003), Sillunu Oru Kaadhal (2006), Gandhi, My Father (2007), M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story (2016), and Middle Class Abbayi (2017)[1][2]. She has won several awards, including four Nandi Awards, one Filmfare Award South, one SIIMA Award, one Zee Cine Award, and one Zee Apsara Award.
Chawla was born in New Delhi to a Punjabi family and has two siblings. She moved to Mumbai in 1997 and started her career with ad films and Hindi music videos before making her acting debut. She is known for her roles in films across various Indian languages.
