Bharti Sharma, born on October 15, 1961, in New Delhi, India, is an accomplished Indian theater director, actor, and teacher. She earned her Master's degree in Hindi from Delhi University and graduated from the National School of Drama in 1987. In the same year, she co-founded the Kshitij Theatre Group with Bipin Kumar and other NSD graduates. Throughout her career, Sharma has acted in over 50 plays and directed more than 35, covering a wide range of topics including historical events, realistic narratives, experimental works, gender relationships, and Indian mythological and philosophical themes. She has participated in numerous national and international theater festivals, such as the 8th Theatre Olympics and Bharat Rang Mahotsav. In recognition of her contributions to theater, she was honored with the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in 2019.
