Badrul Islam

Badrul Islam is an Indian actor known for his versatile roles in both television and films. He began his acting journey in theatre, performing in numerous productions at the Shri Ram Centre for Performing Arts and the National School of Drama in New Delhi. His passion for acting was ignited after watching the iconic film "Sholay" during his childhood. Badrul gained recognition in the television industry with his debut in the TV series "Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki" in 2005, where he played the character Rangeela. He continued to captivate audiences with his performances in shows like "Aladdin – Naam Toh Suna Hoga" as Mustafa and "Suhaagan" as Bheem Dubey.

 

In addition to his television work, Badrul has made notable appearances in several films. His film career includes roles in "Rang De Basanti" (2006), "Tere Bin Laden" (2010), and "Khoobsurat" (2014). He gained widespread acclaim for his role as a chicken shop owner in the biographical film "Dangal" (2016). Badrul's recent work includes roles in "Batti Gul Meter Chalu" (2018), "Plan A Plan B" (2022), and "An Action Hero" (2022). Beyond acting, he has been featured in various TV commercials and is known for his fluency in Urdu and English.
