Baba Sehgal, born Harjeet Singh Sehgal on November 23, 1964, in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, is a prominent Indian singer, rapper, and actor. He is widely recognized as the first Indian rapper and gained fame in the early 1990s as part of the Indipop music scene. Baba completed his B.Tech degree from G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology in Pantnagar. He moved to Mumbai at the age of 18 to pursue his career in music. Baba was previously married to Anju, with whom he has a son named Tanveer; they later divorced. He is currently rumored to be in a relationship with actress Ashima Kalra. Baba's interests include traveling and singing, and he cites Eminem as his favorite rapper.
