Athiya Shetty was born on November 5, 1992, in Mumbai, India. She is the daughter of renowned actor Suniel Shetty and director Mana Shetty. Athiya has a younger brother, Ahan Shetty, who is also pursuing a career in acting. She completed her schooling at the Cathedral and John Connon School and the American School of Bombay before moving to New York City to study at the New York Film Academy. Athiya made her film debut in 2015 with the romantic action movie "Hero," which was produced by Salman Khan and directed by Nikhil Advani. Following her debut, she starred in films such as "Mubarakan" (2017) and "Motichoor Chaknachoor" (2019). Athiya married Indian cricketer KL Rahul on January 23, 2023, and the couple announced their first pregnancy on November 8, 2024.
