Aarti Gupta was born on May 25 in Bombay, India. She comes from a military family, with her father being Major Gyan Gupta. Aarti began her career as a model, gaining recognition through various advertising campaigns, including notable brands like Sunsilk and Stayfree. Her transition to acting occurred in the early 1980s, where she appeared in films such as Tajurba (1981) and Zamaane Ko Dikhana Hai (1981). Aarti married filmmaker Kailash Surendranath in 1985, and they have two children, Kshiraja and Angad Surendranath. Over the years, she has worked as a producer and creative consultant, contributing to both Indian cinema and international projects. Aarti is also active in animal welfare and environmental causes.
