He pursued a Master's degree in Mathematics from the University of Connecticut and initially worked as an actuary before transitioning to acting, a passion he held since childhood. Ankur made his acting debut in 2010 with the film "Grant St. Shaving Co.," produced by Mira Nair. His performance garnered attention, leading to a commendation at the NYU Tisch School of the Arts Film Festival for his role in "Coconut Grove" in 2012.
