Born in Chennai, he is the son of actor Ravi Raghavendra and classical dancer Lakshmi Ravichander, making him the nephew of legendary actor Rajinikanth. Anirudh's musical journey began at a young age, where he honed his skills in classical piano and Carnatic music. He gained fame with his debut song "Why This Kolaveri Di" from the film 3 (2012), which became a viral sensation.
