Anil Rastogi was born in Lucknow, India. He is an accomplished Indian actor known for his work in theatre, television, and film. Rastogi began his career in acting in 1989 with the television series "Udaan," where he played the role of SSP Bashir Ahmed. He has a rich background in theatre, having performed over 1000 shows across various plays and collaborated with notable directors. In addition to his acting career, he was a scientist at the Central Drug Research Institute (CDRI) in Lucknow, where he retired as Head of Biochemistry. Anil Rastogi has been married to Sudha Rastogi since May 21, 1962, and they have one child together. His contributions to the arts have been recognized with several awards, including the National Sangeet Natak Academy Award in 2023.
