Alisha Chinai, born Sujata Chinai on March 18, 1965, in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, is a prominent Indian pop singer and playback artist. She began her musical career with the album "Jaadu" in 1985 but gained widespread fame with her hit song "Made in India" in 1995, which established her as the "Queen of Indipop." Throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, she collaborated with renowned music composers like Anu Malik and Biddu, producing several popular tracks such as "Kajra Re," "Kate Nahi Katte," and "Tinka Tinka." Chinai's personal life has seen its share of challenges; she married her manager Rajesh Jhaveri in 1986 but separated in 1994. Following a turbulent period marked by her father's illness and a high-profile legal dispute with Anu Malik over allegations of sexual harassment, she returned to music with renewed vigor. In recent years, she has remained active in the industry and continues to engage with her fans through social media.
