Akshay Kapoor, born on September 18, 1980, in India, is an Indian actor known for his work in Bollywood films. He immigrated to the United States at the age of six months and grew up in Pittsgrove, New Jersey. Akshay trained as a theatre actor and participated in several Broadway plays before venturing into the Indian film industry. He made his debut in Bollywood with the teen romantic comedy "Popcorn Khao! Mast Ho Jao" in 2004. Following this, he starred in "Alag" (2006), where he portrayed a character with supernatural abilities. Despite both films not performing well commercially, Akshay received positive reviews for his performances. In addition to feature films, he has appeared in short films and TV series, including "P I Meena" (2023). Akshay is married to Kirti Mahamia since June 10, 2019.
