Abhishek Banerjee was born in 1985 in Kharagpur, West Bengal, into a Bengali family. He completed his schooling at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Andrews Ganj, Delhi, and graduated from Kirori Mal College, University of Delhi, where he actively participated in the college's dramatic society. Banerjee began his acting career in theater before making his film debut in "Rang De Basanti" (2006). He later transitioned to casting, contributing to several notable films such as "The Dirty Picture" (2011) and "No One Killed Jessica" (2011). He gained recognition for his roles in the Maddock Supernatural Universe films, including "Stree" (2018) and "Bhediya" (2022), and for portraying Hathoda Tyagi in the Amazon Prime series "Paatal Lok" (2020). Abhishek is married to his longtime partner, and they have a daughter together.
